I grew up in North County San Diego and still call it home. Business has always interested me, especially the people who take the risk of building and running one. I enjoy learning how a company came to be, what matters to its owners, and what they hope comes next.

From Business to Law

After earning a business administration degree with a concentration in marketing from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, I spent nearly a decade in sales and business development. In 2011, I decided to make a change and attend law school.

I graduated from California Western School of Law in 2013 and began practicing law at Peddycord Law, the firm my father founded. My business experience came with me. It taught me to listen, ask questions, and understand a problem from more than one perspective.

Building the Practice

In 2021, I became the owner of Peddycord Law. Taking responsibility for the firm made me think carefully about the practice I wanted to build: one where I could know my clients, understand the business behind the legal question, and focus on work I genuinely enjoy.

Small business acquisitions have become a central part of that practice because they involve more than documents and legal terms. A business often represents years of effort, risk, relationships, and personal identity. I am drawn to the work because it gives me the opportunity to understand that history, place the legal issues in context, and help clients navigate a significant transition.

Chief Dog Officer

Ace is a rescue black Lab and the Chief Dog Officer at Peddycord Law. His practice areas include office security, mandatory walk breaks, snack monitoring, and the aggressive pursuit of tennis balls. Full of energy and rarely off duty, he keeps me on my toes and makes sure the office never gets too quiet or too serious.
